Or is that a tad melodramatic?

I expect so, but speaking of theater, there is none grander than Galveston’s own Grand Opera House, a historic gem of a building and one of the first I can’t wait to see once I get back down to Galveston.

Notwithstanding the ravages of Hurricane Ike, and with many thanks to the hundreds of foot soldiers who spent untold weeks and months mopping up, shlepping mud, and tearing out sodden and moldy materials, this glorious old girl returns at last, in all her glorious splendor.
