First, a nice bottle of wine. Get off on the right foot. Don’t be silly and waste time poring over the wine list. Just order the Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling, a delicate, faintly sweet, smooth, and delicious nectar from my erstwhile home state of Washington and a long-time favorite of your humble author.
